Web 2.0

I am a fan of technology. It has helped us come a long way and if something makes your life easier, why not use it? Web 2.0 is just one of the many ways the internet has helped keep us more connected and informed. It's basically a way for the community to put together information, discussions, art, etc. onto one platform. I use Web 2.0 sites all the time (YouTube, for instance), but I didn't know it had a specific name. 

Web 2.0 is becoming more and more useful in this day in age, especially in the classroom. Web 2.0 makes it easier to keep students updated and it serves as an efficient communication form. For instance, I know of various professors and high school teachers that use voice thread options as a means of communication, lecturing, and general discussion. And sites like wiki seem like they could be quite useful to me. I want to be an English teacher and wiki seems like it could make literary analysis or discussion easier. I like the Web 2.0 sites and feel like they could make classrooms run smoother.
